Welcome to Wooden Element UK, a small, family-owned artisan company that started from a family conversation between me (Selina) & my sister in-law Natalie. 

You know when you love statement earrings, but a while, they become uncomfortable? In the past, left with no choice, we just put up with the pain because the earrings were a key part of the outfit.

This got us thinking about whether fashion must involve the suffering of its wearers as well as its makers. You hear too often “Fashion can be cruel”. Not on our watch!

Our passion for fashion, creativity, as well as caring for people and planet drives everything we do. We pay as much attention to our products as we do our supply chain – this is what sustainability means to us.

It is fair to say there is a war on nature happening right now and being frank, much of this is due to deeper structural inequalities that came before us. In all of this though, each of us has the power to make choices that lessen our impact on the planet.
